Why You Should Buy Canon T3i Instead Of Canon T2i   by Alfred Daniels

To Buy Canon T3i or T2i?
You are looking to buy Canon T3i but your friend told you that the T2i is a better buy and you are confused. By the way, if have not already known it, the Canon EOS Rebel T3i is sold in some country as the Canon EOS Rebel 600D or more commonly refered to as the Canon 600D.

I would like to present all the facts to you so that you can make an easy and informed decision as to buy Canon T3i or the T2i. First of all here are the specifications for the Canon EOS Rebel T3i:

What about the Canon EOS T2i specifications? It is exactly the same – right to the dot! However there is a big difference in that the Canon T3i has a vari-angle LCD screen while the T2i has a standard rear LCD screen. Why big? This is because once you get used to it, you will find that the vari-angle swivel panel LCD is very useful especially when you need to take photos at an awkward angle.

Why buy Canon T3i instead of T2i?
Apart from the technical specifications highlighted, there are more features introduced in the T3i that makes it more worthwhile to buy Canon T3i instead of the T2i. It is no harm having those features in there even if you do not use them now as you may use them in the future when you become more experience and creative in your photography.

The additional features that are present in the Canon EOS T3i but not the T2i are:
. the ability to fire multiple flashes remotely when taking a photo. This is a professional model feature which is made available on the Canon EOS T3i
additional features in the video category. Now you can use “movie digital zoom” to zoom in to the center of the image by a factor of 3x to 10x without any degradation of the video quality.
. total manual control of focus while shooting
. you can take short video clips and stitched them together inside the T3i. All you need to do is to take 2, 4, or 8 second clips and allow the camera to do the rest.
. a creative feature named Basic+ is also added in the T3i. You have two output choices in this Basic+ mode; an ambience setting mode and a shooting by lighting or scene type mode. With the ambience setting, you set a kind of mood for your photo as the camera adjusts the sharpness, contrast, color and saturation for effect. On the second choice with lighting or scene type, the camera deploys Creative Filters for 5 different effects. These includes Fish-eye, Miniature, Soft focus, Grainy Black and White, and Toy Camera
. if you are new to dSLRs, the T3i also provides you with onboard instructions. This is very useful as you can learn along the way and do not have to worry about bringing your manual along

After going through the points above, I believe it is no longer difficult to choose between whether to buy Canon T3i or the T2i. Given nearly the same technical specifications but with additional features, the obvious choice is to buy Canon T3i over Canon T2i.
